CLUB LA COSTA
LUXURY VACATION CLUB
What it is, is, a presentation holiday, you and up to 5 others get to stop at a luxurious complex not available through travel agents, in either Fuengirola Southern Spain or Tenerife, Canary Islands.
The Pictures and their locations below were all taken in February 2005 at The Club La Costa Holiday resort or surrounding areas of Fuengirola and Marbella.
We say there is no strings attached, well there is’nt, apart from a fraction of your time is required by a Club La Costa representative to explain how the system works, it is interesting, it is informative, its rewarding, (and you get a free breakfast).
You're not there to join, they just want you to see how it works, that’s it, there is no big sell, your not in any way intimidated.
Club La Costa is a British based company and has to adhere to British rules and regulations.
If, for arguments sake you thought that the holiday was that brilliant after being there a week, you decided to buy into one of the packages.
The company can’t sell it to you for 14 days, they can’t take a penny off you until after the 14 day period has elapsed, this is called the cooling off period, and this gives time when you get back home and reflect on the holiday and decide whether or not it was as affordable as you thought at the time. Some people get home and decide to join although whilst actually taking the holiday they were dead against joining anything.
We all know you can get last minute holidays, either through cancellation or that particular holiday not selling, but you can never be that sure how good the accommodation will be when you get there, with Club La Costa its all 5 star plus.
Club La Costa Resorts and Hotels is now setting the benchmark of excellence that the rest of the holiday ownership industry is following. They are responsible for many of the concepts now widely available in the industry, including the introduction in Europe of the very Points system described. The system has since been adopted across the industry.

One thing that appealed to us in Fuengirola was 'Sal's Paradise', every tuesday night they hold a jam session and local musicians/singers go there to strut there stuff, its a great night, they put bands on at weekends as well, finding it is easy, as you enter the promenade road from the Club La Costa end, its about 200 yds down on the left. |
There are a few free excursions from Club La Costa and one is to the Leather Warehouse in Fuengirola, you get a fashion show a free tipple, and a chance to try on some very exclusive leatherware, not cheap but very well made quality garments as seen here.

Marbella is just 45 mins down the road by public transport, which is very cheap and about 20 mins by taxi.
Old Marbella is worth a visit as is the docks, shoals of Mullet patrol around the boats, try throwing a few crisps or bread in and the surface water comes alive with hundreds of fish.
The shopping is excellent as are the beaches and bars, Torremolinos is a few mile the other side of Fuengirola and Gibraltar makes for a good day out as well. |
